Dr. Henning Huffer

Dr. Henning Huffer is the foundation’s attorney. His legal work and ongoing legal advice enables the foundation to keep solid footing.

After studying law in Berlin he graduated at the University of Munich and received his Doctorate in Law 1970. A year later he was admitted to the bar and started his own law firm in Karlsruhe, Germany.

In 1972, with just 90 hours of flight experience, he accomplished his first round-the-world flight in a two-seater Messerschmitt-Boelkow Bo 209. He completed 4 more trips between 1974 and 1981, each including prolonged surveys in the South Pacific. These resulted in a TV-documentary and book and magazine publications.

From 1989 to 1995 Henning Huffer freelanced as an airline pilot for the German carrier Lufthansa while simultaneously running his law practice. In 2007 he attained his helicopter license.

Besides working as an attorney and lecturing in international law, Henning Huffer continues to ferry airplanes and take on assignments as a charter pilot in turboprop airplanes and helicopters. By 2008 he had logged 50 transoceanic aircraft deliveries.
