Carolines Verbindung zu Mende begann im Jahr 2005, als sie das Buch Sklavin laß. Sie konnte das, was sie da laß nicht vergessen und wollte als Geschichtenerzählerin selbst durch Theater mitwirken. Ihre Mission war es, Mendes Geschichte live auf die Bühne zu bringen.

Ihre Arbeit am Drehbuch zusammen mit Damien Lewis und Mende Nazer begann. Am 23. November 2010 war es soweit, die Premiere des Theaterstücks fand am „Lowry Theatre“ in Manchester, GB statt. Der Großteil der Stiftung, inklusive Mende war an diesem Tag im Publikum. Alle waren zutiefst berührt, sowohl von dem Stück, als auch von Carolines aufrichtiger Hingabe zu dem Theaterstück, so dass sie eingeladen wurde, Teil der Stiftung zu werden.

Caroline gründete Feelgood Theatre Production im Jahr 1994 und ist selbst erfolgreiche Schauspielerin und preisgekrönte Direktorin in Theater und Oper. Seither hat sie alle Shows selbst entwickelt und Regie geführt. Die Themen Risiko und Abenteuer ziehen sich durch all ihre Werke. 2004 war Caroline begeistert, als Feelgood einen staatsbürgerlichen Empfang von dem Oberbürgermeister von Manchester als Anerkennung für die Taten der Firma erhielt. In 2005 wurde sie als „Lancashire Woman of the Year“ benannt und 2006 erhielt sie den „Angel Award for Excellence“ und die „John Thaw Fellowship“ von der Manchester Universität in 2007. Außerdem wurde sie mit dem „Manchester Evening News Horniman Award“ für ihren ‚herausragenden Beitrag zu Theatervorstellungen“ ausgezeichnet.

Caroline’s journey with Mende began in 2005 when she read Slave. She could not ignore what she read and as a story-teller in her own right she wanted to make a difference through theatre. She made it her mission to bring Mende’s story to life on stage.

She began her collaboration with Damien Lewis and Mende Nazer on the script. On 23 November 2010 the play premiered a the Lowry Theatre in Manchester, UK. Mende and the majority of the Foundation members were in attendance. They were all so incredibly moved by the play and inspired by Caroline’s sincerity and dedication that the Foundation asked her to join the board.

Caroline, a successful actor and award winning theatre and opera director founded Feelgood Theatre Productions in 1994. Since then she has produced and directed all of their shows. Risk and adventure informs all her work and in 2004 she was delighted when Feelgood was given a Civic Reception by the Lord Mayor of Manchester in recognition of the company’s work. In 2005 she was named Lancashire Woman of the Year, in 2006 she was awarded the Angel Award for Excellence and the John Thaw Fellowship by Manchester University and in 2007 she was awarded the Manchester Evening News Horniman Award for her ‘outstanding contribution to live theatre’.

Le bout de chemin que Caroline et de Mende partagent commença en 2005, lorsque Caroline lut Slave. Incapable d’oublier ou d’ignorer ce qu’elle avait lu, écrivain elle-même, elle voulut témoigner à travers le téâtre et elle fit sienne la mission de porter l’histoire de Mende sur scène.

Elle commencaà travailler sur le script en collaboration avec Damian Lewis et Mende et le 23 Novembre 2010 la première de la pièce eu lieu au Théâtre Lowry à Manchester, Royaume Uni. Mende et la plupart des membres fondateurs de la Fondation Mende Nazer étaient dans le public. Ils furent tous si extrêmement émus et touchés par la sincérité et le dévouement de Caroline qu’ils lui demandèrent de joindre le bureau de la Fondation.

Caroline, actrice et metteur en scène plébiscitée au théâtre et à l’opéra a fondé Feelgood Theater Productions en 1994. Depuis, elle a produit et dirigé toutes leurs pièces. Son travail est nourri par l’aventure et le risque et elle fut enchantée lorsque Feelgood Theater Production reçu les honneurs du maire de Manchester en reconnaissance de l’impact civique du travail de la compagnie. Nommée Femme de l’Année du Lancashire en 2005, elle reçu le Angel Ward for Excellence et le John Thaw Fellowship de l’Université de Manchester en 2006. En 2007, elle reçut le Manchester Evening News Homiman Award pour sa contribution exceptionnelle au théâtre en direct.
