MENDEES, THEIR FAMILIES AND THEIR HOMELAND IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS

Today we have to share with you the sad news that Mendes village of Karko was recently attacked by militia groups in Sudan. The militia thinks it is the proxy power of the government. The villagers had to flee and many houses were destroyed. Mendes’ family fled to the mountains and have been living in a desperate situation ever since. The planned visit to the foundation and the school’s construction project were postponed due to the current incidents. At the moment, it is uncertain when we will be able to continue. Despite the ongoing unrest, we are keeping an eye on Mendes’ goals. At this difficult time, we should all keep Mende, her family and her homeland in our thoughts and prayers.
