Dr Henning Huffer is the foundation’s lawyer. His legal work and ongoing legal advice give the foundation a solid foundation.
After studying law in Berlin, he graduated from the University of Munich and received his doctorate in law in 1970. One year later, he was admitted to the bar and subsequently founded his own law firm in Karlsruhe, Germany.
In 1972 – with only 90 hours of flying experience – he circumnavigated the globe for the first time in a two-seater Messerschmitt-Bölkow Bo 209 aeroplane. Between 1974 and 1981, he completed 4 further flights, each with longer research activities in the South Pacific. This resulted in a TV documentary as well as book and publishing publications.
From 1989 to 1995, Dr Henning Huffer worked as a freelance pilot for the German airline Lufthansa in addition to his legal practice. In 2007 he received his helicopter licence.
In addition to his work as a lawyer and lecturer in international law, Dr Henning Huffer continued to fly aircraft and worked as a charter pilot in turboprop aircraft and helicopters. By 2008, he had delivered 50 aircraft overseas.
