The Mende Nazer Foundation was officially established on Sunday 19 July 2009 in Karlsruhe Germany by Mende Nazer and a close group of her supporters.
THE MENDE NAZER FOUNDATION

We are an international charitable organization inspired by Mende Nazer. Mende’s testimony transcends ethnicity, religion and gender and it is the magnet that has drawn in people from all over the world to hear her tell her story. With this new awareness it is our wish to turn enthusiasm for her story into good works in the heart of the Nuba Mountains. It is Mendes’ lifelong dream is to give hope to the children of her home country. Mendes’ lifelong dream is to give hope to the children of her home country. And to give them the opportunities that she herself was robbed of. Join us now to provide the most important gift we can give: Hope.
Mende’s people, the Nuba, were victims of unspeakable atrocities during a 20-year civil war that ended with a peace agreement signed in 2015. Mende cannot do it alone and needs the Foundation’s support and your donation to help them regain their dignity and restore their hope for the future. The time is right.
AIM
VISION
Our vision is that the Nuba Mountains will have a properly equipped and self-sustaining primary education system that will allow their children to have the basic education required for further development and a hopeful future. It is also our vision that all those living in the Nuba Mountains will have access to potable water which will provide for healthy living and regional stability.
VALUES

Support Mende Nazer with your donation. Even a little help can make a big impact. Education for the children of the Nuba Mountains and vital water are our top priority, but the Nuba also receive medical resources with your aid.
HOW EVERYTHING STARTED
From the moment that Mende attained her freedom, her thoughts and prayers have always been with those who continue to suffer in Sudan. She has become determined to use her new found freedom and influence as a force for good in her homeland.
It was during a visit, as an invited guest, to the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs that Mende met Tom Høyem. Tom Høyem was so touched by Mende’s story and the plight of the Nuba people that he was compelled to help. This resulted in a friendship and partnership that quickly bore fruit.
Tom Høyem diligently went to work, using his influence to assemble trusted and experienced associates to launch a non-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to fulfill Mende’s aim and vision.
Gathering at the European School Karlsruhe on 19 July 2009, the founding members established the Mende Nazer Foundation. With the headquarters in Karlsruhe, it was the intent of the foundation to expand into an international charitable organization.
